For years I have been avoiding the Indiana State Fair. I could not bring myself to go to the event until they served more healthy food.
Now that oil with trans-fats has been banned from fryers of all the food vendors, I am ready to celebrate.
I can gorge, guilt free, on the now healthy deep fried Oreos, Twinkies, corn dogs, fried dough and french fries.
I am packing up the car and heading out to the Indiana State Fair.
Tony,
I hate to be the one to break it to you, but there is no such thing as “HEATHLY deep fried Oreos, Twinkies, corn dogs, fried dough, [or] french fries” (emphasis mine), but I love the rationale.
My belief is that nothing eaten at state fairs has any calories or fat and is all 100% healthy because everyone knows that all food eaten standing up (and most food consumed at state fairs is eaten standing up) is calorie and fat free and 100% healthy.
Will you make deep fried Oreos at the next Morgan Terrace party?
Have fun.
Jessica
