Great Head
They say you need a catchy name to create buzz and catch the customers eye. This one caught mine the other night while meeting some friends for a drink.
Makes one wonder what other services this hair salon offers?

Tony,
This reminds me of something from my childhood.
When I was growing up in Arlington Heights in the 80s, there was a barbershop called "Best Head." It was tucked back in this little strip mall at the corner of Arlington Heights & Golf Rds (major intersection) and you could never see it from the road. They hired these tall, leggy blondes, had them wear stilettos, short shorts, and these sandwich boards that said "BEST HEAD" with the phone number right below. These women would walk up and down the sidewalk in front of the strip mall waving at the cars. The first time I saw these women, as a brand new 16-year old driver, I almost caused a huge wreck.
One time there was an article about the place in the local newspaper and it talked about how women would see checks for $12-$15 written by their husbands and so they'd call the place to find out just what their husbands were getting done!
Quite unfortunately, the barbershop is no longer there.

It is still in existence though. Now it's at Route 53 and Algonquin Roads in Arlington Heights. Marty still owns the place and cuts hair.
